The Irish Computer Society and the Institute of Public Administration invite you to attend the Annual Public Sector Network Conference which will be held on Wednesday, October 7th at the IPA premises on Lansdowne Road.
The conference will look at areas in which IT can be used more efficiently or could contribute to cutting costs, and showcase best practice in managing and measuring IT investments. The second related focus will be on knowledge management in the public sector. Public sector staff numbers are being cut and many are leaving on early retirement packages. The loss of knowledge is and will have serious implications for organisations. It has drawn attention to the lack of systems to manage, retain and share knowledge in the public sector.
Colman McMahon, a graduate of the MSc in Computing (Knowledge Management), will be presenting at the conference.
